I think I forget how to actually update one of these things. >_> Well, I figure I should get back in the habit of it, so . . . . Hi!

Well, on the "new news" front, I need sleep. This isn't really new, but the method by which I need sleep is sorta new this time around. That DreamOn stuff is actually pretty helpful, in that it makes me sleep, but I kept waking up starting at around... seven, and I just gave up recently. But I've been doing this crap thing where I've either been not sleeping at all (hi Chibi), or sleeping like eighteen, twenty hours (WORSE THAN NO SLEEP God that makes me feel like crap). And yes, I've done that. I need to stop doing that or I'm going to end up doing it on a work day, and that will not be good at all. I also don't need to skip meals on sleep problems. I've already been sick recently, I don't need it to come back with a vengeance.

I need to finish my part for 1nthenight. Currently I'm also trying to wrack my brain for a novel idea that . . . doesn't suck and I actually feel like writing? I sort of feel like trying a NaNoWriMo next month, for practice and because I need something to make me keep my hand in. I haven't really written in forever, and that is BAD. I figure I have a week to think of an idea and a week to develop it, which about the time Baty suggests in NPNP anyway, so . . . that's good.

. . . . I almost typoed that "eyedea." I really need to resist the idea of a nap. Also, I am trying to do my ". . ."s properly but I feel silly. Whee. *stumbles off to eat something*

Yeah. Who's stupid? I'M STUPID! Who's awake at almost 5:00 in the morning? I AM! Reiterating: WHO'S STUPID?

...'Kay, I'll stop shouting now. XD Just a few things to say here, really.

One, I have a MySpace account. It's Bird of Hermes, in case you're interested. It's stupid and has nothing up at the moment, but that's okay. Maybe everyone will SHUT UP ABOUT ME GETTING A MYSPACE ACCOUNT NOW. :D *stops shouting, again, because it's a bad nethabit to get into!*

Two, I rejoice, because the new Hellsing OVA is coming out in Japan next month, on February 10th! Yes, that's right! It's not a second season, continuing on from the show, either. It's based entirely off the manga. Which means... yes. Millenium's getting animated. It seems, from the preview, that young, 1944, WWII-era Walter is, too (which means, hopefully, Girlycard in all his glory XD); we can only hope.

Remember. February 10, 2006. The first Hellsing OVA release. Each episode will be 50 minutes; there will be 20 episodes. It will take 3 years. Have fun.

*totally does the Rejoicing Happy Dance*

Three, I found scanslations of Hellsing: The Dawn. Therefore, I now have Chapters 1-4, translated, on my computer. (And for the record, yes, Alucard looks like a girl, and Walter is a smarmy little bastard what the heck.) I also have Chapter 5 untranslated, just the scans... which I admit is pretty useless but I get to look at the beautiful artwork. Which includes the Captain revealing himself as a werewolf and actually shapechanging. So that's okay.

...

*calm, sudden silence*

.....

SQUEEEEEE OVA COMING OUT AND I HAVE THE DAAAAAAAAWN~~~~~

*ahem* Sorry, even I have to totally all-out fangirl-spazz occasionally. And this, this is is spazz-worthy indeed. ^_____^

Four, and finally, and most important... in celebration of my H:tD scans... I have icons.

Yes, there're fifteen... seven of <strike>Girlycard</strike> Alucard and eight of Walter. But they're all from the same base, just with different text. And two of the Walter ones are pretty much the same text, too, just one has a slightly disturbingly-placed smiley face. XD; So it's not so bad as all that.

First up... the "Stand-Alone" Walter ones.

(Yes, I know. The dental floss jokes are required, though. Hush.)

Next up, some "Stand-Alone" Alucard pictures. (In case you're wondering why I'm calling him Girlycard... wonder no longer. You can call him that too, if you want... just not in his earshot.)

(Yes. That last one does, in fact, call him Girlycard. As his name. I obviously couldn't resist forever!)

Aaaand, now. My "Pair" pictures. Matching icons. First up, of course, is the "God save the Queen" version, which is pretty self-explanatory, I'm sure.

Next, we have "Tod zu den Nazis!" Which, translated, means "Death to the Nazis!" (I looked it up.) Since they're in Germany and it's 1944, and they're there to blast the holy bejeezus out of Herr Major and his crew for the War, it's appropriate enough.

And finally... 1944. Ah, yes, 1944 was a great year, a great year indeed.

That's it. I do need to say, however, that the style of icon--text above and below the image, normally with their names above and something cool, catchy, or funny below--is swiped from the ingenius GreatestJournal site Hellsingpuffs! Go and be amazed at, most recently, Alexander (does for pie servers what Walter did for floss) (see? TOLD YOU THE FLOSS JOKES WERE NECESSARY) and Enrico (poster boy for crazy Catholicism), among others. FEAR IT. LOVE IT.

Okay. I'm totally done now. And I'm a-goin' back to bed. Will cross-post this to my MySpace thinger tomorrow, somehow. G'night. ♥

The Beginning of the Beginning of the Reviewing...

So. Tomorrow I hope to post my review for the first chapter of zarla's Johnny the Homicidal Maniac fanfic, "Vargas." It is a really impressive, intelligently written, psychological-study-of-a-fic. It chronicles the life of one of Johnny's victims in the comic, a man named Edgar Vargas, if he'd actually had a life instead of being killed by our lovely Maniac.

Well. Then I realized that, as the first chapter starts abruptly, I can't even really recommend reading the fic unless you've read the comic--or at least the part of the comic that has Edgar in it.

Luckily, this is only four pages.

"Goblins" - page 1

"Goblins" - page 2

"Goblins" - page 3

"Goblins" - page 4

These links will only work for a week, people. That's seven days. Which means, after that, you won't be able to get 'em. If it's expired by the time you find this, well, just drop me a note in the comments here and I'll see about updating them. ^^

WARNING: These things contain blood, cursing, insanity, insane ramblings, more blood, threats, the following-through of threats, murder, religion, and a really really interesting weapon used to kill the main character of the fanfic I'm gonna be reviewing. Oh, and also, it's Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Nny is enough of a warning by himself, isn't he?

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN JTHM OR NNY OR EDGAR OR THE STORY "VARGAS" OR ZARLA OR ANYTHING WHATSOEVER. I may have put up the links to download this, but it's only four pages of like 172, and I'm not making any money out of this, so bug off. Please. *blink*

Download and read, people. Once you have, the reading (and reviewing) of "Vargas" may commense. *bows*

So. I bought a coonskin cap at Disney. :D :D :D I've always wanted one of those! But I never thought of myself as Davy Crockett, really.

Instead, I ran about the park occasionally going, "I AM DON QUIXOTE!" XD

Yeah. This was all Zarla's fault. Because I saw her AVAST YON WINDMILL picture just before leaving for Disney, it has infected my brain. So now my coonskin cap is, despite all evidence to the contrary, my Don Quixote hat. XDDD

Yes, now I go off to begin reviewing "Vargas." Seriously, guys, you need to read this. <lj:music>Beauty Is Within Us – GitS:SAC</lj:music>

In a world where cyberization is commonplace, almost everyone has at least the slightest changes made: messing with their brains a bit to boost their thoughts and reaction time, improving their health and eyesight, and other such things. However, some families clung to their old religion, stating that cyberization was wrong and evil, and refused to be altered in any way.

One man came from such a family. He had a brilliant mind, but he was very sick. His body was horribly fragile, and he was wasting away even in his early twenties. His problem could be solved if only he would have the procedure, allow himself to be put into a cyberized body. If he didn't he would die.

His parents refused to let him have the operation, to "ruin" himself in such a way.

This man was a genius, and knew that his talent, his life, was being wasted. He worked for the Tokyo government to build robots and machines, large tanks that could be used in warfare. He was brilliant. He was dying. And he could be spared all of this, if only he could be put into a cyberized body. He had unlimited potential, his whole life before him, and his parents were letting him die because of some stupid belief system. Helpless and withering, his bitterness grew.

When he was on his deathbed, this man made his closest friend, a co-worker, promise to grant him one last wish: when he was dead, to put his downloaded memories and consciousness into one of the new tanks he had built for the government, the best of its kind. The friend was appalled, but what else could he do? He agreed.

And the man died.

In the tank, the man's consciousness took over. He broke free of the testing compound he was in, and headed straight for home. Straight for his parents. Straight for a cry of rage, a proclamation of hate, an attempt at revenge... a plea for redemption. Of course, I had to make text-based icons. So there. :P

WARNING: This is Camp Fuck You Die. Any and all quotes may make your brain explode and leak out your ears. Specifically, anyone in the Saiyuki, Star Wars, Three Kingdoms, Lupin III, both Animorphs AND Wraeththu, Fullmetal Alchemist, and/or Pokémon fandoms should Beware The Cut, seriously.

.....actually, they're not so bad as all that. Except for the Pokémon-related one, of course. And seriously, only two or maybe three will probably be funny if you don't know them. They're all pretty canon-heavy.

Cross-posted to campersfuckoff because I <strike>am a h0</strike> am just that proud. :D

(And yes, there will be updates soon enough. I have notifications showing up randomly now, from weeks ago. Funny thing is, I'll get one, and delete it. And then, hours later, I'll get like five or six from random times all at once, and delete them... and then get three or four more. XD; Hey LJ, wouldn't it make more sense just to... I dunno. Send all of them at once?

I have a feeling this may go on for days. It amuses me. X3

Also... hey. Screw the Dear Santa letter. In February, I bombed a cultist gathering (-100 points). I also want to see the anime Law of Ueki like mad now, and all because of Robert Haydn. (Nooo, not the singer, wotheck o.O) I loves me some psychoevilcuteangst boys like whoa (hello, Wrath~)!

Hooboy, I get to (re)watch Kakurenbo and Nightmare Before Christmas tonight~~~ *sleepy celebrations!* And possibly the first two episodes of Evangelion, if we're feeling up to it. I can't believe I haven't seen that yet. That's the Essential Anime, even above Akira in my book. ^^;;;; Much cooler and (somehow!) much more cracktastic as well, wot. XD;

And~ I have Nightmare Before Christmas manga~ :/ I'm still not sure whether I'm enthused or mildly freaked out over this. It reads back to front and right to left, too! >DDD And has all the little Japanese sound effects~~~

*does a little dance of joy, because tonight is just being SO COOL*

Off to dinner, and to be way more Halloween-y than I was on Halloween night...!

    <lj:music>The Nightmare Before Christmas: "Jack's Obsession"</lj:music>

Hmm.... I have a busy schedule today. I'm in my third (and last) class at the moment... I'll be here for another 20 minutes, then I'm off--to work. *facepalm* I switched with my coworker Judy, because she had to babysit tonight; in return, she'll work for me Saturday, which is good because that's when Homecoming is. ^^;;;; So I guess it works out fine, but... ugh. I left home at 9PM and I won't be back 'til at least 10:30 tonight. *dies*

In other news... who else stared at the TV Saturday night and went "...............OH GOD WHUT o_O"?

All right, that was... freaky. It was a little too short to really get into, emotionally... I mostly just mocked it somewhat, when I wasn't staring fishlike at it... but I liked some of the characters. The main two characters (the guy looking for his sister and his friend) were pretty cool, and I might've liked the poor kid with glasses if he hadn't been caught almost right off the bat. I tend to like anime kids with bushy red hair and glasses. Or just glasses. >_>

However, I really liked "the twins." Actually I don't know if they were supposed to be twins, or even related, though they looked pretty close to identical. I don't even know if they were supposed to be male or female... did anyone else have this problem? At first I thought they were two girls, but then their... er, shirts?... kind of seemed to negate that possibility... *sweat* Then I got the impression that they were twins, one boy and one girl. I have no idea, though. Didn't help that they never spoke... although, to tell the truth, that's probably why I liked them so much. ^.^ They were so cool!

...And, w007, fast little buggers, too. ._.;

Mostly, though, I had two major reactions throughout the WHOLE THING... and that was at the very end. One was basically, "So little kids CAN be used as an energy source! I was RIGHT! :D" (don't ask), and the other was "I am the Happy Ending Nazi. No Happy Ending for you." (My dad's a witness... I said both of these aloud XD;)

Also, the two "scanning" scenes--where they were panning down with the camera, and when they were panning back up, made me go "Hey that's a very long way whut." And the very end was creepyangstastic like whoa.

If you just went through the trouble of reading that... I'm so sorry. *wince* I'm just tired, that's all. And work in an hour and a half. Funfun.

..........I wanna read A Clockwork Orange. *hums*

<lj:music>Les Miserables: "Red and Black (The ABC Cafe)"</lj:music>

And lo, I grab a whole bucking funch of new icons. :D I'm thinking of joining Fandom Wank, I totally am. Because, again: snarksexual. *snerk* This amuses me.

Which is good, because today, THE WORLD TRIED TO KILL ME. No, not other people. THE WORLD.

First, on the way to school (college), I choked on my bacon. Yes, this was an actually scary choking experience. Apparently, down the middle of the strips of our newly-aquired beef bacon, there's a loooong thin strip that cannot be broken or severed. Ever. And I tried swallowing it. *facepalm* Mom, next time there's evil killer strands of unbreakableness in my food, warn me before I eat it, plzkthx. >< Swallowing most of something, and then having the rest of it STICK IN YOUR THROAT AND GAG YOU HORRIBLY is no fun at all.

Then, the maniac in front of us slammed on his/her breaks. That was because the driver in front of him/her had decided ZOMG I WILL TURN NOW without putting on a turn signal or even slowing down first. This, needless to say, scared the crap outta me. (Though not as bad as the time we hit a baby deer omfg noooo~--ahem, yeah.) I'm just glad it didn't happen when I was choking, or I would have been dead.

Then, after school, we swung by my grandparents' house. (My Grammy's getting knee surgery tomorrow... she'll be gone for probably at least a week... pray for her and wish her luck!) And we discovered we had a nest of ants LIVING IN OUR CAR DOOR.

No. Do not ask how. Just, suffice to say there were hundreds of ants living in our car door. And we had to bugspray them to death before leaving. And then the entire drive home smelled of Ant Poison, which I can only hope isn't People Poison too.

*sigh* Plus, because of Random Insomnia Haha, I got about four hours of sleep last night, so I'm pretty exhausted now. Bad days are not good after a night of little sleep. T_T If I choke on dinner tonight, or someone drives into my house, or I discover spiders in my bed, I will be mighty displeased.

Two questions for the masses:

·Is it just me, or was the "Bloody Mary" episode of Supernatural last night a big ol' ripoff, character-design-wise, of that girl from The Ring? :/ Because the paleness, hair-over-the-face, the way she stuttered when she moved... even the jerky "climbing out of the mirror" (which was, of course, a TV in The Ring)... *sigh* I can't decide whether it was thievery or homage. Either way, whoo. Eyes-explody. X3

·Can anyone explain to me the "This hed is pastede on yey!" joke? ...If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry, I don't get it either, except the very line and spelling amuses me to no end. What's the backstory on that? (I may join Fandom Wank just to ask them that, XD;)

All right. Now I'm going to surf a bit before dinner, after which we will watch Fullmetal Alchemist and hopefully I'll sleep for a long, long time.

Now remember, this was when I had my contacts out... and my glasses, like Ninamori's in FLCL, are "fake," no glass in them. It was a fashion statement. Usually, when I make that "wearing glasses" fashion statement, though, I have my contacts in. I was totally blind yesterday, and kept walking into things, and looked like I really shouldn't have been. <lj:music>silence, and sleepiness</lj:music>

Well, I put my contacts back in just in time for dinner, then had Family Time watching Cash Peters be Stranded in the middle of the woods (he's such a cute little wuss! XD) and Tony Bordaine (whose name I've quite possibly horribly misspelled) have A Few Reservations about jumping off a big-ass cliff. My eyes have only JUST stopped hurting... which I would take as a good sign, except wtf, 2 hours of pain, even after getting the damn things back in. It's good that it's stopped, but dayam.

So yeah... will finish my chapter of In the Night tomorrow... my lack of productivity can be easily explained by the fact that, because of removing my contacts, I have been mostly blind and in acute pain since Sunday.

In unrelated-to-anything news... anybody else love Italy? o_o This isn't the first time I've desperately wanted to set a story there, but it's definitely a Keen Urge right now. Fine dining, good wine everywhere, cliff diving, beautiful beaches, near-constant relaxation, definitely constant random embraces and kisses, an amazingly versatile language that is perfect for reading poetry OR arguing loudly and bitterly in (believe me, I just heard them)... Who wouldn't love Italy? It's close to replacing my love of New England, right now, and that's saying something. (Remember: "Pleasure, it's a Sicilian priority...")

*goes off to continue watching Tony Bordaine, seeing as how it's still officially Family Time XD;*

EDIT: Wow, Tony Bordaine complains a lot. He and Cash are similar in this regard, and in the fact that they are both utterly charming, but they're different in a very deep way, too. Cash is lovably naive, while Tony is wonderfully sarcastic. *snerk* It's like... Cash Peters is the modern Bertie Wooster--and wow does that give me some weird mental images o_O--and Tony Bordaine is like... like... well, who am I kidding, he's one of a kind. He's like Tony Bordaine. ^____^

And now... two quotes. One from the Princess Bride (Vezzini, since I'm in an Italian mood XD;), and one from Cash Peters.

"Never go in against a Sicilian, when death is on the line!"

CASH: "We're going to die, aren't we? We're going to die."
WOODSMAN: "No, you're going to die. I'll be fine."

X3 Pain or not, I'm feeling better now. In retrospect, it's been a good day. Thankyew and goodnight.

<lj:music>Brian May and Sissel: "What Are We Made Of?" (music video♥)</lj:music>

In other words (in very other words, o_O), I found stuff. A lot of stuff to be shared, but first, a quiz and a meme!

Personality Quiz, gacked from tammaiya:

Your view on yourself:
Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education
Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:
You have many goals and want to achieve as much as you can. The jobs you enjoy are those that let you burn off your considerable excess energy.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

...Wow. Uh, she's right, that is... er, scarily accurate. ._. Meep.

And, a meme... also taken from tammaiya, but she got tagged by someone else, I think...

Five Fictional Characters I'd Shag
Okay, let's try to be realistic, here... in no particular order:

1. Ford Prefect (Hitchhiker's Guide). I dunno, something about him just makes me happy. Maybe it's the laid-backness, or the go-for-your-throat grin. *snickers*
2. The marquis de Carabas (Neverwhere). ...Yeah, I think I'm a closet snarksexual, how 'bout you? :D :D :D He always came across to me as Walking Sex, partly (mostly?) because he's a sarcastic bastard.
3. Nightcrawler (X-Men). *blinks* What can I say? He is the first fictional character I ever looked at and thought, pretty much: "Yeah. I'd do that." XD Maybe it's the fuzziness. Maybe it's the German accent. Maybe it's the devotion to religion when he looks like a demon. Maybe it's the teleportation (BAMF!). Who cares? He SO makes the list.
4. Emma Peel (The Avengers). Diana Rigg, of course, not Uma Therman. Compared to the show, the movie was Teh Suck. But, hey! Who wouldn't shag Emma Peel? If she'd have them, I mean. (Strictly speaking, John Steed should make this list, too... but he's such a gentleman, that's almost wrong. XD)
5. Death (of the Endless, Gaimanverse). Again... who wouldn't, if she'd have them? She probably wouldn't, though. When your Death, who has time for relationships? She seems a little more practical than most of her siblings in that regard.

And now, there's two things I'd like to direct people's attentions to.

For one thing, Nice Hair. It's a webcomic with a... weirdish twist. It has Neil Gaiman as a character. XD

Yes, a MAIN character. This comic is about three roommates: an Elder-God-worshipping British author, Neil (Mr. Gaiman, of course); an American filmmaker with a close friendship/obsession with Danny Elfman and the Gay Pirate Jack Sparrow living under his bed, Tim (Tim Burton, that is!); and an obese, depressed, English singer/songwriter called Fat Bob (last name Smith, lead singer from the Cure!). Recurring characters are Danny Elfman, who only appears over the phone; "Uncle Andy," really Andrew Eldritch, an Englishman who looks an awful lot like Crowley but drinks Windex (o_O); and Uber-Man, a gay German superhero who is convinced that Neil is a "fraulein" and keeps rescuing him (Neil is only semi-thankful for this once, when he believes he has just been molested by a manta ray).

Neil Gaiman has seen this comic. Apparently, he approves. *snerk* Or, at least he agreed immediately not to sue anyone.

My second item is a bit more... special interest. o_o Special Interest, in this case, = Lilo & Stitch. XD WeyrdChic and Prince Fala made a WONDERFUL MUSIC VIDEO (Fala has a WONDERFULLY HUGE LINK in her journal, too XD). It's to the song "What Are We Made Of," by Brian May and Sissel. Brian May was guitarist for Queen, and the song was from some Pinocchio thing, so I guess it's really not a stretch of the imagination to call this song A Most Beautiful Mix Of Queen And Disney...

Actually, the song is like Queen, Enigma, and All Things Beautiful melded into one. Then it got together with Disney and made a beautiful Music Video baby. XD

Seriously. I WANT this song. I already have the video (seen it nine times already!), but I want the song on CD. Until then (and, well, also after, because--Lilo & Stitch!), I'll just watch the video repeated times. And, for you, here's the link:

"What Are We Made Of?" A Lilo & Stitch Music Video

Slashy if you look at it (or should I say, J/P evidence is IN there because it's practically unavoidable, but the video's not oriented towards it), but mostly, it's just Pleakley, Jumba, and Stitch finding their one true place.

...I need to write my Novel Collaberation Chapter, but I'm stuck like 200 words in. >< Aargh. Let's try taking this from another angle, shall we? And, NO POSTING ANYTHING ELSE ANYWHERE, INCLUDING MY THOUGHTS ABOUT LEROY & STITCH, UNTIL I'M DONE WITH THE CHAPTER. *smacks* I'll post this, lunch, then work on the novel, I promise. Maybe if I approach it from a less sequential telling... *muses*

    <lj:music>.....yep, still Nightmare XD</lj:music>

...Whoops, I forgot to put this link. :3 It's the preview for a lovely fluffy feel-good family movie called...

Shining.

Definitive proof that editing can make or break a movie! If you have a bad editor, your movie will suck. If you have a talented editor that hates you and has a good sense of humor, you'll have a completely different movie on your hands. XD

Yes, it's The Shining. Just watch it already. Shoo! *waves away*

<lj:music>I've got The Nightmare Before Christmas stuck in my head o_o</lj:music>

"Emphasis should be on skills and subjects that transmit cultural heritage and contribute to socioeconomic efficiency... Students should listen and learn."

*snort* Yyyeah. Let's help the economy and social systems, because that's what schools are here for. >< Essentialism is full of shit. According to today's Education class, Hitler was THE famous essentialist. How many people are surprised about this? Anyone? *taps foot*

I'd say reconstructionism is 1000 times better, but it seems like a bunch of libers are jumping on the reconstructionist bandwagon for the sake of propaganda. Which is exactly the opposite of the point, for God's sake.

(Note: not all liberals are bad. Far from it. Usually when I say "liberals," I am talking about liberal shitheads. Needless to say, not all liberals are shitheads. Here's a key:

Liberal college people that blackballed a student for putting up posters about a black Republican's novel called "It's Okay to Leave the Plantation," calling the use of the word plantation "racist propaganda" (o_O ?!) = SHITHEADS.

Liberal man who defended said student in court and helped him sure the stupid college for completely ruining his transcript = NOT SHITHEAD AT ALL; WONDERFUL PERSON.

Thank you for your time. Now back to your regularly scheduled post.)

I think I would have scored overwhelmingly in reconstructionism, if it had been on the Educational Philosophy Test. But it wasn't. >_> As it is, I'm 46% progressivism, as opposed to 36% existentialism--and only 18% perennialism. I have 0% essentialism, which surprised neither me nor my professor. XD

TRIVIA: Do you know the name of the act passed in 1647, requiring towns with more than 50 people in them to hire a teacher?
ANSWER: The Old Deluder Satan Act. ^____^ ("Johnny, will you open your textbook and read aloud from page 38?" "'Get thee behind me, Satan.'" XD)

Join me next time, when I wank about science and religious fundamentalist assholes. Or possibly just science in general. Or maybe even big business and industry, whatever floats my boat at the time. I may even have another stupid meme-quiz post. ~_^

You have delt the monkey a blow to his confidence.

You scored in the 36th percentile.
(36% of quiz takers scored worse than you)

Geography

Your score: 4
Monkey's score: 4
-- Rather shameful.

History

Your score: 4
Monkey's score: 6
-- Not your finest hour.

Science/Technology

Your score: 5
Monkey's score: 3
-- Good enough I suppose.

Random Trivia

Your score: 9
Monkey's score: 2
-- A handy defeat of the monkey.

Link: Monkey Trivia Quiz

And...

Happy National Geek Day. XD NOW OFF TO WORK GOGOGADGETCAAAAAAAAAAAR~

    <lj:music>Gorillaz: "Feel Good Inc."</lj:music>

*sigh* I just tried to take the LJ Interests Meme FIVE TIMES, and it closed out my browser after five minutes EVERY TIME. That was just... argh. Aaarghargh. SUCK.

Anyway, I've still be random and useless. I found out my vampiric title, for no reason other than I find the implication of having a scary, important-sounding title amusing as hell.

"I have gone by the identity Rani of the Ghastly, known in some parts of the world as Venus of the Storm Riders. The Great Archives reveal, the Riders come with the rain clouds, you will hear the thunder of their hooves in the sky."

I have no idea where I found that anymore, because, you know, my BROWSER DYING--but dayam. XD That's just fun. I think I'll go by that when I become a TA!

I also found out which Lilo & Stitch experiment I would be. Honestly, I was hoping for Fibber--because it's so cute and probably the most lovable-slash-annoying-slash-unbelievably-HORRIBLE!!!ONE! out of ANY experiment ever... but instead I got:

Shoe

Which experiment are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

>_> Hell, it didn't even come with a picture or anything. What cheapness is this?! T_T *fumes*

I also joined the North American Discworld Convention community, which will hopefully have a website soon. The con is planned for 2008. I hope to be a wandering minstrel, or a Dibbler. X3 Now if only I can find information on the NecronomiCon, I will be set...

Oh yes, and for my NaNo people (not that there ARE any, but... meh): I changed the gender of my main character because she should be female, dammit! And, this removes 99.9% of the Ghei. XD I say 99.9, because that other .1% is my elfin hairdresser, who is so obviously a total fruit I never even have to pair him with anybody for him to contribute .1% Ghei. I don't even have any plans on pairing him... *whines* Effing hell, I'd chance his gender too, but he's the comic relief and changing his gender WOULDN'T WORK.

*sighs* In less depressing news, and news that no one on Earth could ever care about... I made scrambled eggs this morning for the first time (YAY WOAH ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!ONE!), and coconut macaroons are probably the most addicting substance known to man, besides possibly Discworld novels. And the Feel Good Inc. music video is the shit.
